Humans are Strange

Day-Late

Wasn’t it just a few weeks ago that Meowmie was all excited because all the yellow daffodils were blooming, and it was finally spring! The yellow tulips made her smile, too. So did the forsythia bushes with all their little yellow flowerets that shed all over the yard. So I was happy to see the little yellow dandy-lions in the yard. They remind me of little suns hovering over the grass. And their name should make Meowmie think of her special feline.

Wrong.

They have Meowmie stomping around, muttering under her breath (those words I’m not supposed to repeat), and digging them up by the roots! At first I thought she was playing fetch with me, but those long roots taste horrible. And even the green leaves are kind of bitter, so I stopped chasing them and just sat near her while she worked. That was when she explained to me that she actually likes the yellow dandelions, but then they turn white and blow all over, and that is why she doesn’t like them.

This is what has me worried…just last week she told me I was getting white around the muzzle. Does that mean she is going to dig me up and throw me away too???????

Humans are strange, they really are!
