Summer Fun

by Twinkles
This summer should prove to be an interesting one for my family. We
have a new puppy at our house, she is named Angel. By the time June
gets here and you read this, she will be 5 months old. Meowmie is very
busy with her now, but already she seems to be ready for summer fun.

She loves to play fetch the ball and to run around the yard and house
as fast as her legs will carry her. She's great fun for us to play with,
especially me, since I'm the youngest cat in the family. But she's very
rough and likes to bite. She doesn't bite hard, but even a tiny nip
from those sharp puppy teeth hurts!
We've all had to put her in her place a number of times. Brownie is
very tolerant of her. But I won't stand for any painful nonsense. Anyway,
she will be great fun as the summer comes in. Everything interests her,
which means she gets into everything. So exploring the yard with us,
smelling the flowers, chasing after the feral cats (for fun, not to
hurt them), watching and listening to the birds, are all activities
she enjoys doing.
She has an unfortunate tendency to eat the grass, but then, once in
awhile it does clear out the sickly feeling.... She will eat grass,
flowers, twigs, stones, anything, so meowmie has to be on her toes with
her! But she's so much fun to play with, I anticipate a really enjoyable
summer.
Already our daffodils are in bloom in the garden. So there's lots of
yellow color out there. And with a nice ball to play with and even a
frisbee to chase, summer with Angel is going to be an exciting adventure
for all of us! Happy Summer to all! Purrs, Twinkles
